Hello JUNE!!!
A new month! A new experience!. Its the 6th month of year 2013. Six months to go and 2013 would become history. Let’s take a look back at the past months(January-May).
How would you rate yourself on a scale of ten? How much have you achieved in five months? Take time to ask your inner man about your progress so far. You’ll be amazed at what you have achieved. Or instead, have you failed to achieve your plans? Have you gone past your budgets and rolling in debts? Have your grades gone lower in school? Whatever it is, don’t be too hard on yourself. Fasten your seat belt and work towards getting better. But in everything make sure you enjoy everyday in June and don’t leave room for regrets.

1. Watch what you say:
Every time you speak, you are prophesying our future. What kind of words do you use everyday? Words are very powerful. Its like a drop of petrol that falls to the ground and evaporates. You can never get to use it again. Many lives have gone, families destroyed and destinies ruined because they abused the use of their tongue. You say words and don’t care to know the meaning. You and your friends joke around with swear words, foul languages etc. When you are angry, frustrated or depressed, you let our curses, harsh or negative words. It has become a strong habit. Do you know every word you speak has an effect in your life. You build your future with the words of your mouth. No matter the situation you find yourself, use only positive and healthy words. Replace the negative words. Its a new habit you need to learn if you value your tomorrow. Write down the ‘bad’ words you say consciously or unconsciously and write a replacement for each. With time, the new words would become an habit. Let your mouth bring peace, refreshment, hope and faith. “All of us often make mistakes. But if a person never makes a mistake in what he says, he is perfect and also able to control his whole being” James 3:2. One of my favourite bloggers, SisiAnu, wrote “Show me a blessed man today, and I will show you a man who has used his tongue wisely”. Say ONLY positive things to yourself, family, friends, neighbours, country and the world.

Appreciate everyone around you:
No matter how small, appreciate people around you. Tell them how much they mean to you, get a gift for them(even if its worth #10), write notes to them, help them render services they need or say a little prayer to them. Appreciate them in the most natural way you can. Look around you; Your parents, your siblings, teachers, friends, classmates, neighbours, servants, your boss, everyone. Can you remember the last time you showed gratitude to your parents? You don’t have to wait till their birthday, wedding anniversary or mothers/fathers day. Or like me, do you find it difficult to express how you feel? You can write a note, send a message, make a call and tell them how much you love and value them or you give them a warm hug and whisper thank you(okay, the idea of hugging or saying “I love you” might be weird for some of us here. I only get to see that in movies especially hollywood. But there’s no harm in giving it a try right?) No matter what, do something today!. Make a list of everyone around you and appreciate them in your own little way. Ease the stress and tension everywhere and have great fun too.

JUNE is going to be a fabulous month for everyone. It is going to be a bundle of good news and experiences.
To everyone reading this right now, I wish you the best of June.
To all students writing their NECO exams, I wish you a successful one.
And to our Great fathers, Happy fathers day in advance. We love you!!!
