CAREER: Major key to choosing the right career

Hey friends! Its been a while I posted something for you all. I’m really sorry it took this long. I was involved in so many things at the same time. But I can assure you that there are loads of posts in store for you all.

This is my first career article so am writing about the major key to choosing the right career. My dear, there is nothing worse than being in a job that frustrates the living out of you. A job where you are not happy going to, dancing when its friday morning and feel sad when its sunday evening. A job you don’t put in your all and feel reluctant to do anything but you have to stay because of the pay. This is the plight of many Nigerians who are in the wrong career. You do not want to join their clique right? Read on!
It doesn’t matter if you are a secondary school student, an undergraduate, a graduate or even working, you can choose to live right and enjoy your career life. The major key to it is identifying your “natural talent”.

***
We all have natural talents, certain tasks that come easy to us. When we use our natural talents, time moves fast and we tend to receive compliments for our abilities. Knowing where your natural talents lie is the key to choosing the right career. Of course we’re capable of doing other things, but those other tasks usually feel more like work. Focus on the things you love to do. What have you dreamed of doing in the past? What do you naturally enjoy doing? Jot down what comes to mind, no matter how improbable it seems.
Look for clues everywhere. Take note of projects or topics that stir your compassion or excite your imagination. Reflect on stories of people you admire. Ask yourself why certain activities make you happy, and pay attention to times when you are really enjoying yourself.

What do you always enjoy doing, and how can those skills be applied to a job?
Search or explore jobs related to those skills. Write down as many as possible even the silly ones too. Research well on these jobs. Have a discussion with your “inner man” and even people around you. With time, you’ll be able to strike some off and keep a good number which am sure would bring fulfilment and true satisfaction that is key to having a successful career. Its only in the right career that you can bring out your best.

Be patient. Remember that your search may take some time and you might have to go down a few different roads before finding the right career path. Time and introspection will help you identify the activities you most enjoy.

You can avoid the headache of being in a wrong career. Save yourself the frustration, anger, stress and worry that comes with choosing a wrong career. Save your energy, time, improve on your natural talents, increase your worth, earn right and live right. Thank God its friday!!! Have a wonderful weekend friends. Put a smile on someone’s face this weekend and stay grateful to God. *kisses*
Word for the weekend“Don’t paint yourself to be a bentley when you are a camry. You can do well to improve your model, step up your game. You would still be appreciated anyway”
I hope you found this very useful.

Series: I’m ready pt.1

Hello my beautiful friends! How is your week going?. Its been great for me. The tears, laughter, inspiration, stress, good sleep, good food and lessons learnt made it wonderful. I posted this on facebook and decided to share with everyone here. Its titled “I’m ready”, and its going to be a series. So, other parts would be posted subsequently. Feel free to post your comments.
PART I: LIFE’S GAME
I woke up early and prepared well for my journey, packed all the necessary things needed, but when I got to my first bus park, life played a different card. I’ve been out even before the sun yet the sun is working at its best before me. Shining brighter and hotter while I wait for the bus. I’ve wasted precious hours at the bus park but I refuse to allow the sun sleep before I get to my destination because the darker the harder. I’m ready to start a walk to my destination though I wished for a jet. I’m aware its not going to be a comfortable one but for how long would I wait?. I’m ready to start not minding how slow it seems. I’m ready to face the storms for I know they would surely come but I do not know the form it might decide to choose.
I’m ready because I’ve realised its only when you are READY, that you have started the race.

*****
Its normal for things to go the way we haven’t planned and believe me it could be very frustrating and depressing. At certain points in ones life, we all experience this. But it doesn’t tag us as failures. We only become failures when we stop(give-up). There are different routes to our destination, so if one gets blocked, we can try other routes(decent). Don’t forget you can’t start all by yourself, you need a higher source to draw from(God Almighty). Don’t be out of His coverage, He is the life you need if you desire to get to your finishing point alive. May God help us all. Amen

Have a fun-filled weekend…watch a movie, try something new, dance around, laugh with friends and more. You’ll gist me ooo. Love you*kisses*

Starting point

Today is the starting point of something very big in my life; RepresenTEENS. For a long time, I’ve had this idea to start a teens foundation but due to one excuse or the other( laziness and procrastination) it didn’t come to reality. But today, I start the smallest way I can. At least its free and I get to reach out to everyone*big smile*
Representeens is for everyone(parents, graduates, undergraduates, secondary school students, employed, unemployed etc as long as your human). Though I focus around the ‘teens world’, I reach out to everyone. I was once a teenager and I love the memories attached to it. Its was a very delicate aspect of my life and I thank God for people he put around me. So, let’s all come together to build a community to learn from and teach others. Its only going to work out sweet with YOU. Check back for regular posts and updates.
Love y’all*kisses*
